"Everything’s running good," project manager Wayne Poindexter told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 on Monday.
In just two years, a nearly 400-acre field has been transformed into an active construction zone.
It's a big operation: Nearly 3,000 construction jobs are already on site, many from area contractors. They're expecting another 3,000 construction jobs to be brought in.
Eventually, there will be 600 full-time jobs at the site.
There's also a lot of equipment needed for construction.
"We’ve got 111 pieces of equipment right now, so there’s a lot of equipment on the site; between cranes and forklifts and backhoes and excavators, it’s a lot of equipment out here," Poindexter said.
Speaking of equipment: there's a million feet of pipe and the site has the second tallest crane in the world.
The cranes are visible from Interstate 376 as vehicles pass over the Beaver River.
Construction is tentatively set to finish sometime after 2020.
