ARCHIVE: New Kids on the Block take over Star Lake in 1990
It was 31 years ago this week when the New Kids on the Block tour rolled into western Pennsylvania during the first season of the new Coca-Cola Star Lake Amphitheater.
Rain did not stop huge crowds from coming out to Burgettstown, as you'll see in our original report from July 13, 1990. (Click the video player above to watch.)
Riding high atop the charts with "Step by Step," the group played back-to-back nights at the brand new venue during their Magic Summer Tour.
Though the name has changed many times, it's always just been "Star Lake" to many music fans who saw their favorite bands there in those early days.
This summer, the old name is officially back. Now called Pavilion at Star Lake, the amphitheater will once again play host to several major national tours. Click here for a schedule of who's playing Star Lake this year.
