Since last March, Chris Jericho has performed to empty seats, but that all changes Wednesday night at The Pete.
"Not having a crowd when you wrestle is like standing against the wall and telling jokes as a comedian. You're not getting any feedback," Jericho said. "Like, is this funny, is it not funny? I don't even know."
Jericho, the headliner, is looking forward to the audience.
"You know if they're feeling it, and cheering and screaming and yelling, then you kind of wait a bit, and if they're not, then you do something else, and we didn't have that," he said.
Dr. Britt Baker, the AEW women's champion, is also looking forward to returning to where she began both of her careers.
"I became a wrestler when I came here to go to dental school. I am a proud alumni of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and I trained here to be a professional wrestler," Baker said.
The Pete will host two shows, AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night and Friday, the launch of Rampage.
"It's going to be live and our first episode will be in Pittsburgh and I will be defending my world championship title, so how can you not come?" Baker said.
