CJ will be a therapy pet for the women and men at the Medical Rescue Team South Authority — helping to reduce the anxiety and depression they may encounter.
CJ is named after Dr. Clara Jean Ersoz, the first medical director at the Medical Rescue Team South Authority, who was killed onboard TWA Flight 800 in 1996.
In addition to first responders, CJ will be in schools, hospitals, nursing homes — anywhere people need emotional support.
