Ukraine hygiene kit drive: Pittsburgh, Allegheny County seek donations
The city of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County are collecting items to help the people of Ukraine.
A hygiene kit drive, in partnership with Brother's Brother Foundation, will continue through April 29.
Organizers are asking for donations of travel-size items, which will be packed into kits and shipped overseas.
People may also drop off full hygiene kits, which are preferred, but they should not include aerosols, powders, money or notes.
Below is a list of items needed. A list of collection sites can be found here
- Deodorant (no larger than 3.4 ounces)
- Shampoo (no larger than 3.4 ounces)
- Conditioner (no larger than 3.4 ounces)
- Body wash (no larger than 3.4 ounces)
- Lotion (no larger than 3.4 ounces)
- Hand sanitizer (no larger than 3.4 ounces)
- Toothpaste (no larger than 3.4 ounces)
- Toothbrush
- Lip balm (1.5 inches in length/ 0.5 inch in diameter)
- Flushable wipes (travel size)
- Tissues (travel size)
- Tampons
- Sanitary pads

Brother's Brother Foundation is also accepting financial donations by credit card at www.brothersbrother.org. Choose "Ukraine Relief" in the dropdown menu.
