Quarterback Chris Oladokun, a seventh-round draft pick from South Dakota State, was released, along with linebacker Genard Avery and wide receiver Christian Blake, both of whom had been signed as free agents.
Two undrafted rookie free agents were also cut: running back Mataeo Durant and kicker Nick Sciba.
Pittsburgh's roster must be reduced to the 53-player limit by Aug. 30.
