Belle Vernon defeated Avonworth 24-7 to win the WPIAL Class 3A championship Friday evening at Acrisure Stadium.It's the second WPIAL title in school history for Belle Vernon, and their first under head coach Matt Humbert.The victory gives the Leopards (10-2) their first WPIAL championship since 1995.The Antelopes (11-2) were seeking their third championship in school history. They previously won a WPIAL title in 2019.
