RODNEY GALLAGHER, HE IS HEADED TO WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY WITH A FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP IN HAND. AND HE BELIEVES’S GOOD -- SCHOLASTIC AND COLLEGIATE ATHLETES HAVE THE RIGHT TO EARN MONEY FROM THEIR NAME IMAGE AND LIKENESS. SO HE IS NOW THE FIRST HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETE IN PENNSYLVANIA TO CARRY THAT STATUS. >> I THINK YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY GET PAID OFF OF IT, JERSEY SALES, OR JUST ANY TYPE OF STUFF IN THE TEAM STORE AND THINGS LIKE THAT. SO I THINK OBVIOUSLY, PLAYERS WOULD BECOME VERY WEALTHY OFF OF IT. THERE’S A LOT OF PLAYERS OUT THERE THAT ARE DOING A GREAT JOB HANDLING IT SHELDON: HE IS A FOUR-STAR RECRUIT WHO WILL PLAY RIDE RECEIVER FOR THE MOUNTAINEERS. THIS DEAL IS WITH A COMPANY CALLED THE PAVEMENT GROUP, BASED IN WEXFORD. THE OWNER, BRIAN HAS, JOINED THE INTERVIEW VIA ZOOM. HE IS ALSO FROM THE LAUREL HIGHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT AND HAPPY TO WORK WITH GALLAGHER. >> WHAT YOU THINK OF THIS YOUNG MAN RIGHT HERE? >> MAN, I THINK HE IS AN AMAZING ATHLETE, BUT A BETTER PERSON. AND THAT IS REALLY WHAT DREW US TO RODNEY IN THE FIRST PLACE, WAS HOW HE CARRIES HIMSELF, WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR THE COMMUNITY AND HOW HE HAS IMPACTED THE CHILDREN. >> IT COULD BE ANYTHING IN THE COMMUNITY, GOING TO A SCHOOL OR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, JUST TALKING TO THEM. THE MENTAL PART OR THE SPORTS PARK, IT DOES NOT REALLY MATTER. SHELDON: WHILE AT WV YOU HE SAYS HE WILL STUDY SPORTS MANAGEMENT.
