Miles Sanders: From Woodland Hills to the Super Bowl
From Woodland Hills, to Penn State, to Philadelphia. Miles Sanders has achieved his football dreams without leaving the state of Pennsylvania.
But to be a Super Bowl champion, he will head to Arizona with his mom, Marlene.
"I can’t wait because I want to see it," Marlene Sanders said. "You know, I've watched it on TV, but I'm actually going to be in the stand to watch him play and just see his dreams come true and be fulfilled."
Miles Sanders not only has fulfilled his dream but the dreams of others by giving back.
Pittsburgh's Action Sports saw him do it before he was drafted, and he continues today.
“This past summer, he did his first camp at Woodland Hills nobody had to pay,” Marlene said. “He wanted to give back."
She says for Miles, the ultimate giveback would be a Super Bowl title, followed by his traditional post-game hug with his mom.
“It would be epic because this is what he planned; this is what he said his goal was to help the city bring a Super Bowl home,” said Marlene.
Miles Sanders is also sharing this Super Bowl ride, virtually, with Buffalo Bills star and McKees Rocks native Damar Hamlin.
The two have played on rival teams since high school but have become the best of friends, with Miles Facetiming with Hamlin as he continues his recovery.
