Less than two weeks after the sudden closure of the Kings Family Restaurant along Hyde Park Road in Allegheny Township, a new business has already signed on to fill the space.Valley Dairy Restaurant, based in Latrobe, announced plans on social media Wednesday to open a new restaurant at the location. The restaurant chain has locations throughout an eight-county region, including Latrobe, Blairsville and Cranberry.When the Kings restaurant closed earlier this month, neighbors told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 there was uncertainty about what would happen to the property."There isn't much in the valley anymore," David Misner said. "It seems like everyone is closing up, but it's nice to have someone coming back in here."According to the post, the restaurant is hoping to hire 50 staff members. No opening date has been set.
