Some schools in the Pittsburgh area that were affected by Wednesday’s school threat hoaxes have made adjustments to their schedules.
Oakland Catholic High School and Central Catholic High School are both closed for the remainder of the week after hoax calls about an active shooter brought police to those schools on Wednesday morning.
Because Easter Break begins next week, students in those schools won’t be back in the classroom until April 11.
Meanwhile, the Hopewell Area School District is on a two-hour delay on Thursday.
The superintendent released a message to families praising the way the district’s students and staff responded when a hoax call was made about the high school.
Hopewell Superintendent Jeff Beltz said the district is allowing families options for the remainder of the week when it comes to their child.
