Nike unveils new US women’s soccer team jerseys ahead of 2023 FIFA World Cup

The United States women’s soccer team will be sporting some new threads on the pitch as they gear up for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Nike and U.S. Soccer revealed the newest home and away uniforms that the team will wear in the lead-up to and during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. U.S. Soccer officials said in a press release Monday that players on the women’s team contributed to the design process in collaboration with Nike designers, who were inspired by abstract expressionism, an international art movement that started in the 1940s in New York. The USWNT home uniform will make its debut on the field during a two-game series against the Republic of Ireland on April 8 and 11 in Austin, Texas, and St. Louis, Missouri. Nike’s website features jerseys for Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Rose Lavelle, Mallory Swanson and Crystal Dunn.
