The stadium was quiet today, but tomorrow it will be *** different story. Thousands of fans will be buying tickets. I like *** ticket for opening day. But on the back of those tickets in very fine print is *** whole harmless clause. It says you assume the risk of any harm that may come to you during the game. Basically, it's *** statement of non liability, but if you're hurt, you may be able to sue anyway. You know, we expect the Bucks to play heads up baseball. Well, you as *** should be *** heads up fan. We're sitting right now along first baseline and Three Rivers Stadium. Once the game has begun and once you've taken your seat, you really have to look out for line drives and for broken bats because at that point, you have assumed the risk of the game. But because of the protective screen that's in front of you, you really don't assume that much risk if you sitting behind home plate. What's interesting here at Three Rivers is that the foul net that used to cover this area has been removed? So it would be an interesting legal question if someone were injured by *** foul ball which dropped into this area whether or not the Pirates in Three Rivers Stadium would be liable for the injury. We took the drop net Off the top which went up to the second level. We took that off because it obstructed the view of the cameras and of the press and of the patrons of 2nd and 3rd levels. The first aid station at three rivers treats about 100 people in *** season for game-related injuries. But remember management is as eager as anybody to stay out of court.
