HER SYSTEM. SHELDON, COULD SURGE WAS STILL FRESH NINE WEEKS AFTER THE EAST PALESTINE TRAIN DERAILMENT. FOR EXAMPLE, ONE WOMAN JUST FOUND OUT THAT THERE TRACES OF VINYL CHLORIDE IN HER SYSTEM. I KNOW THERE’S RISK OF LIVER CANCERS. I KNOW THERE’S RISKS OF BRAIN CANCER. I KNOW THERE’S CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DISORDERS THAT COME ALONG WITH THIS. THAT IS THE CONCERN OF LINDA MURPHY FOLLOWING THE DEVASTATING NORFOLK SOUTHERN TRAIN DERAILMENT FEBRUARY 3RD. SHE AND HER HUSBAND, RUSSELL, HAVE BEEN DRINKING FROM IMPORTANT WATER BUFFALOS SINCE THE INCIDENT. BUT MURPHY WAS STILL DIAGNOSED WITH TRACES OF VITAL CHLORIDE A WEEK AGO AFTER UNDERGOING A URINALYSIS. IT WAS CONDUCTED BY COLORIMETRIC, SHOWING CHEMICALS OF VINYL CHLORIDE. AFTER POTABLE LIES IN HER BODY, SHE CONSULTED WITH THE CHAIR OF EPIDEMIOLOGY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY. I JUST FELT LIKE MY EYES WERE TIRED AND SWOLLEN. EXTREME SORE THROAT. ALMOST LIKE I HAD DRANK HOT LIQUIDS. MY VOICE WAS GOING IN AND OUT. I HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE BREATHING, DIFFICULTY TAKING IN A DEEP BREATH, ESPECIALLY IN THE EVENINGS. MEANWHILE, EAST LIVERPOOL CITY HOSPITAL HELD A GRAND OPENING FOR A NEW CLINIC INSIDE OF EAST PALESTINE. AS A RESULT OF THE DERAILMENT. MURPHY WILL COME HERE FOR FURTHER MEDICAL ADVICE FOLLOWING HER DIAGNOSIS OF VINYL CHLORIDE AND HER SYSTEM. THERE’S A TOXICOLOGIST THAT WE CAN REACH. IT’S ACTUALLY A SERVICE THAT’S AVAILABLE TO ANY PHYSICIAN THROUGH THE POISON CONTROL. AND WE COULD TALK WITH THEM AND IF THEY RECOMMENDED THAT A PATIENT SEE A TOXICOLOGIST IN PERSON THAN AS ANY OTHER SPECIALIST, WE WOULD HELP THEM TO OBTAIN THAT CONSULTATION. DOCTORS HOPE THAT THIS NEW CLINIC IS AT LEAST THE STARTING POINT FOR RESIDENTS TO GET ANSWERS TO THEIR HEALTH CONCERNS. IN EAST PALESTINE, OHI
