SUPREME COURT COMMITMENT 2023. NOW CANDIDATE FOR ALLEGHENY COUNTY EXECUTIVE JOHN WEINSTEIN IS RESPONDING TO ALLEGHENY FROM OPPONENT DAVE FOSSETT. FOSSETT SAYS WEINSTEIN DOES NOT QUALIFIED FOR THE OFFICE BECAUSE OF A 20 PLUS YEAR OLD SPECIAL INVESTIGATORS REPORT THAT ALLEGED BOTH JOHN AND HIS FATHER, MEL WEINSTEIN, MAY HAVE FILLED OUT DOZENS OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS. NOW THEY DENIED IT AND NO CHARGES WERE EVER FILED. TODAY, WEINSTEIN IS RESPONDING TO THESE ALLEGATIONS BY SAYING IN PART, QUOTE, THIS IS A POLITICALLY MOTIVATED STRING OF FALSEHOODS RELATED TO AN ELECTION 26 YEARS AGO. HE ALSO SAYS IT’S UNFORTUNATE THAT THIS NONEVENT IS THE FOCUS OF ONE OF JOHN’S OPPONENTS. DAVE DAVID FOSSETT. AND HE CALLS FOSSETT A LIFELONG REPUBLICAN.

Candidate for Allegheny County executive John Weinstein is responding to allegations from opponent Dave Fawcett. Fawcett says Weinstein is not qualified for the office because of a 20-plus-year-old special investigator's report that alleged both Weinstein and his father, Mel Weinstein, may have filled out dozens of absentee ballots. They denied it, and no charges were ever filed.On Wednesday, Weinstein responded to these allegations by saying in part, "This is a politically motivated string of falsehoods related to an election 26 years ago." He also says, "It's unfortunate that this non-event is the focus of one of John's opponents, David Fawcett," who Weinstein calls "a lifelong Republican." Both Weinstein and Fawcett are running as Democrats.
