Bennett, McClelland endorse Weinstein in Allegheny County executive primary

Allegheny County Treasurer John Weinstein won endorsements from two former opponents in the Democratic primary race for county executive.County council member Liv Bennett and mental health counselor Erin McClelland say they back Weinstein. Both of them dropped out of the race in the past month. "What matters is how we treat each other," Weinstein said. "And I've always treated everyone with respect and dignity, and I'm so honored and proud to have two former candidates for this office stand with me today and endorse me."Other Democratic candidates include former county council member Dave Fawcett, state Rep. Sara Innamorato, current city Controller Michael Lamb, former Pittsburgh mayoral candidate Will Parker and former Pittsburgh school board member Theresa Colaizzi.
