Ed and Day introduced to red pandas at the Pittsburgh Zoo
All right guys, our next stop is red panted. Now we're behind the scenes and we're going into very tight quarters. So I gotta give you some safety tips. You know, these animals are not aggressive but they have semi retractable cat like claws. They can't pull them all the way in if we're *** little slow on feeding them and they're up on ***, *** branch, they will grab your shirt and pull on you like, hey, what about me pal? Where's my food? You'll be fine. You'll be fine. You're actually, you'll fall in love with you. All right. I don't know how we feel about going into the panda cage, but lucky for us, red pandas aren't actually bears. They're their own unique species in the family and truly one of *** kind that's our male. That's *** male. This is over here like eight years old now. Boy. And you can feed them because, you know, that's what we're doing today. Yeah. So, and I, wow, well, this is much cooler than *** cat like, so how do I get one of these for the crib? You know what I mean? Well, you know, you, uh we're friends, we're friends now. I don't know if you saw fur on the bottom of his feet. I didn't see he got fur on his ears all the way back to his tail. Big fluffy tail. So, anyway, you done? You done what? You knock out *** stand up up here with it? All right. So, the women, the women, they don't, they don't come over to, to strangers, huh? So, you guys, oh, she, she looking like what's, what's happening over here over here? Uh What's, what's counterpart's name? She was born on the summer season. Why don't want you guys get him to come over that way? Just go over there with it. You smell them grapes, come up here, you getting at it. Let me see how she do it. Look at that. It is there. It is. So how do you, how do you all source your animals? So like God forbid, we, we breed like certain things we breed here and certain things somebody else breeds and we share. So we're not taking animals from the wild. We actually support the conservation of these animals in the wild. Yeah, I see you, girl, girl, you got to say, what are they? I guess. Step, step back, hold that grape in that hand. He's gonna go right on your, we do our own stunts here. So what are their, uh, natural predators? Humans are, are number one? It's not hunting anymore. It is about habitat loss. They're fragmented. They can't find each other. They're solitary. Here he goes, coming up, coming up, he brought it in, he brought it in. Let me get that off you. That's not what that lou didn't do that. There it is. Oh It's ***, it's *** firm grip. It's like, listen, I'm not gonna, I ain't got it. Hold on, let me, let me get it. Let me get at you. Just tell him back up. All right, back up, back up, back up, back up. I'm like, listen, man, he's got *** very firm grip. Like listen, don't get cute. Oh no, he said come here, right? He's not done. Don't get cute, right girl. Thank you. It's you and Mia.
