Watch: Seal skirmish caught on camera in Hawaii

Watch: Seal skirmish caught on camera in Hawaii
Seals scrap in the sea off Kaya Beach. Watch what happens. This larger seal goes up to the pup and there's *** commotion. Official marine watchers say those two seals are half siblings. Mom then goes in to check on baby sees she's ok. Then swims over to scold her elder son. It just looked like *** bar fight about Dean Mico recorded the whole thing. He asked the biologist keeping watch at the beach what they thought but says they only shared this. The male is about five years old, the third party and his name is and he's been hanging out for *** couple days, I guess other long time seal watchers have their theories. Some think it's just *** harmless family feud. The pub was barking at him because mum was like, well, she's learning from mum, right? The state land department and Noah tell KITV four, this is exactly why they keep warning people to stay 150 ft away from the mother and pup at Kaa beach, the entire beach has been cordoned off. Look at the screen netting, it goes all the way back. The entire sand is clear of people and in the water as well. You can see out there. There are no swimmers because there are jet skis patrolling the areas. Remember when *** monk seal bit this swimmer last July. Hello? Hello, Mikola shot that video too. There's no way he's swimming near *** seal. Now. Stay away from the mom because we all saw what happened last summer. If you ain't the water, you, you forget it, you're gonna get *** chunk out of you. These folks say they're happy to admire the seals from shore.

Marine experts say footage of two seals in a tussle on a Hawaiian beach should remind visitors that sharks and sting rays aren't the only dangerous animals to steer clear of.A video shows a larger seal approaching its younger half-sibling before the scuffle begins. That's when a mother seal steps in to check on her baby and then scolds her older son."It just looked like a bar fight about to happen," Waikiki resident Dean Michaelidis told KITV. Michaelidis, who recorded the whole encounter, asked biologists to weigh in on what happened. According to the experts, "the male is about five-years-old, the third party, and his name is Waomalu, and he's been hanging out for a couple days, I guess," Michaelidis said.Officials with Hawaii's State Land Department said the family feud shows why it's best to stay 150 feet away from mother seals and their pups. It's not the first time seals have fought back to protect their own. Last summer, a mother seal bit a swimmer who got too close to a two-week-old pup in the same area. Coincidentally, Michaelidis filmed that encounter, too. He said he's learned his lesson after witnessing both incidents. "Stay away from the mom. Because we all saw what happened last summer," he said.
