Summer-Like Feel Continues
NO RAIN FOR THE START OF ARTS FESTIVAL, WHICH IS USUALLY HEAVY DOWNPOURS FOR THE ARTS FESTIVAL. BUT OVERALL THIS MORNING, AS YOU GET READY TO START THE DAY, 61 DEGREES RIGHT NOW IN PITTSBURGH, 52. AS YOU WAKE UP IN GREENSBURG, 52, ALSO IN BEAVER, 54 IN BUTLER, CLARION, WAKING UP AT 57. IT’S REALLY IMPORTANT TO CHECK OUT OUR DEW POINTS BECAUSE THEY’RE IN THE MID TO UPPER 40S LOW 50S AND THIS IS THE MEASURE OF THE MOISTURE IN THE AIR. BUT WITH THESE KIND OF NUMBERS IN OUR COMFORT SCALE, WE ARE IN THE MORE PLEASANT RANGE. SO EVEN THOUGH THE TEMPERATURE WILL MAKE IT A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE, WE DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT BEING STICKY WITH THAT HUMIDITY THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. SO THAT’S AT LEAST SOME GOOD NEWS. THE SUN IS UP, SHINING BRIGHTLY, REFLECTING OFF THE RIVERS THERE THIS MORNING. WE’LL BE WATCHING A FRONT THAT’S GOING TO TRY TO WORK ITS WAY IN, GIVING US A SMALL CHANCE FOR A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS. MOST AREAS ARE GOING TO STAY DRY TOMORROW. WE’RE NOT GOING TO GET THE SIGNIFICANT RAIN THAT WE ACTUALLY NEED AROUND THE AREA. AND THEN HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO PUMP IN A LITTLE BIT. COOLER AIR ON SUNDAY. WHEN I SAY COOLER, I MEAN LOW 80S. WE’RE NOT EXPECTING TO SEE THOSE TEMPERATURES BACK INTO THE UPPER 80S AND LOW 90S. IT’S GOING TO GET A LITTLE BIT MORE COMFORTABLE WITH OUR TEMPERATURES END OF THE WEEKEND INTO MOST OF NEXT WEEK. BUT CLOSER VIEW HERE FUTURE CAST VERY QUIET IF YOU’RE HEADING TO THE PIRATES GAME THIS EVENING. 705 FIRST PITCH LOOKS NICE. NIGHT FOR A BALL GAME AS WE CONTINUE INTO EARLY SATURDAY. WE’LL HAVE SOME SUNSHINE, SOME CLOUDS WILL BE MIXING IN AND WE’LL SEE A CHANCE FOR A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS FIRING OFF IN THE AFTERNOON AS EARLY AS ONE 2:00. BUT I REALLY THINK MOST AREAS ARE STILL GOING TO STAY DRY. THEN AS WE HEAD INTO SUNDAY, AGAIN, WE WILL HAVE THAT SUNSHINE. SO LOOK AT OUR DROUGHT MONITOR. WE’RE IN THE ABNORMAL RANGE IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA. AND AS WE LOOK AT OUR RAIN CHANCES OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS, VERY MINIMAL. AGAIN, SMALL CHANCE FOR AN ISOLATED SHOWER ON SATURDAY AND NEXT CHANCE, THOUGH VERY ISOLATED, COULD HIT US ON TUESDAY. REALLY DOESN’T LOOK LIKE ANY SIGNIFICANT RAIN FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER WEEK AND A HALF. SO WE WILL BE KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON ALL OF THAT. BUT TODAY, IT’S GOING TO BE HOT. UPPER 80S, LOW 90S FOR US IF WE HIT 90, IT’S THE FIRST TIME WE’LL HIT 90 SINCE JULY 24TH OF 2022. YESTERDAY WAS THE WARMEST DAY SO FAR OF 2023. WE HIT 87. SO DEFINITELY SOME WARMER AIR IN PLACE FOR JUNE 64TH FOR OUR LOW TONIGHT, VERY MILD AND PARTLY CLOUDY. AND LOOKING AT YOUR FOUR DAY PLUS FOUR MORE FORECAST FOR AT LEAST THE TEMPERATURES GET A BIT MORE COMFORTABLE ON SUNDAY, NEAR 80 DEGREES. WE’RE GOING TO STAY IN THE MID TO UPPER 70S THROUGH MOST OF NEXT WEEK. SMALL CHANCE FOR A FEW SHOWE
