YESTERDAY, THE MUSEUM KICKED OFF ITS MONTH LONG CELEBRATION WITH ROLL BACK THE CLOCK ADMISSION PRICING OF $1.50. THAT’S THE SAME PRICE AS OPENING DAY FOR 80 YEARS AGO. ACTIVITIES INCLUDED PARTY HAT DECORATING AND BLOWING OUT THE CANDLES ON A SIX FOOT TALL CAKE FROM PANELS. IT’S AN AMAZING BIRTHDAY PARTY CELEBRATING, YOU KNOW, 40 YEARS OF CURIOSITY AND CREATIVITY, KINDNESS AND JOY. SO WE’RE JUST WE’RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT HAVING EVERYONE HERE. It's a birthday bash in Pittsburgh's North Side.

The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh is throwing a party to celebrate four decades of fun.As the museum turns 40, special birthday events are planned throughout the year. There will also be a free admission day on Saturday, June 24.On Monday, the museum in the city's North Side offered roll-back-the-clock admission of $1.50 -- the same price as opening day in 1983.Activities included decorating party hats and blowing out the candles on a 6-foot-tall cake from Prantl's Bakery."It's an amazing birthday party celebrating 40 years of curiosity, creativity, kindness, and joy, so we're just really excited about having everyone here," said Jane Werner, executive director of the museum.
