BETTER TO HAVE IT BEFORE WE GET TO TAYLOR SWIFT. RAIN SHOWERS FINALLY RETURNED TODAY. YESTERDAY WAS 21 STRAIGHT DAYS WITHOUT RAIN. AND WHEN WE DIDN’T MAKE IT TO 22, RAIN SHOWERS HAVE WORKED IN ACROSS THE AREA AND ARE NOW LIFTING NORTHWARD. NOT REALLY A LOT OF HEAVY RAIN LEFT, BUT PERHAPS A MORE MODERATE SHOWER OR TWO IN THE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF BUTLER COUNTY. RIGHT. AS YOU APPROACH THE I-80 LINE FROM SCRUBGRASS BACK TO BARKEYVILLE AND NORTHEAST OF SLIPPERY ROCK, AGAIN, NOT REALLY NECESSARY HEAVY, BUT THAT’S KIND OF THE HEAVIEST SPOT AT THIS POINT. AS THE RAIN DRIFTS NORTHWARD, THAT’LL CONTINUE FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE EVENING, THEN HEAVIER RAIN ARRIVES OVERNIGHT INTO THE MORNING COMMUTE TOMORROW MORNING. AND THAT’S WHY TOMORROW IS AN IMPACT DAY. THEN THE BULK OF THE RAIN SHOULD CLEAR BY LUNCH AND WE’LL SEE PERHAPS A SCATTERED SHOWER LEFTOVER IN THE BACK PART OF THE DAY. BUT THE SECOND HALF OF MONDAY WILL BE MUCH DRIER THAN THE FIRST. AND THEN WE’RE DRY TO START YOUR TUESDAY AS WELL BEFORE RAIN SHOWERS ARRIVE IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE DAY ON TUESDAY. RAIN COULD BE HEAVY AT TIMES AND THEN WE’LL CLEAR IT RIGHT BACK OUT AS WE HEAD INTO YOUR WEDNESDAY MORNING AND THEN WE’LL TRY AND DO IT AGAIN, PERHAPS AS WE HEAD INTO THURSDAY. BUT THE HEAVIEST CONCENTRATION OF RAIN LOOKS TO REALLY BE AS WE HEAD TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW MORNING AND THEN AGAIN TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. BY THE TIME WE GET TO TUESDAY, MOST OF US LIKELY JUST UNDER AN INCH OF RAIN. SO ENOUGH RAIN TO WATER THE GRASS, KIND OF GET SOME GREENERY BACK AROUND HERE AND TO HELP YOUR PLANTS OUT BEFORE WE GET MORE RAIN ARRIVES AS WE HEAD INTO TUESDAY. FOR NOW, IT IS CLOUDY ON ACTION. CAM 66 IS THE CURRENT ATTEMPTS TO END THE CITY WINS ARE NORTHEAST. VERY LIGHT THOUGH, A THREE MILES PER HOUR. AGAIN, WE’LL WAKE UP TOWARDS 60 TOMORROW MORNING. STRUGGLE BACK TOWARDS 70. IT WILL BE A STRUGGLE TO GET THERE THANKS TO THE CLOUDS AND RAIN IN THE MORNING. ANY SUNSHINE, THOUGH, LATE IN THE DAY, COULD LET US GET BACK TO 70. SO IT WOULDN’T SURPRISE ME. TOMORROW IF A SPOT OR TWO HIT 70. BUT AGAIN, IMPACT DAY TO START WITH THOSE MORNING SHOWERS, SHOWERS RETURN LATE TUESDAY AT 68. THEN SOME SHOWERS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY HIGHS WARM BACK THROUGH THE MIDDLE, 70S WE WILL CLIMB TO 80 AS WE HEAD TOWARDS LATE WEEK AN

Impact Day Monday: Rain showers for the morning commute
Rain showers have finally arrived in Pittsburgh, ending our streak of three weeks without rain. We will see a lull in rain this evening and the first part of the overnight before heavier rain arrives after midnight. Heavy rain will still be falling during the morning commute with rain tapering off from west to east at and after lunch. Most of the second half of Monday is dry outside of a stray shower. We then see a break in the rain likely until late Tuesday into Wednesday when our next batch of rain arrives, and this batch could produce heavier rainfall totals from what we see today. All told, generally 1-2" of rain is likely by Wednesday afternoon to help water the yards/plants and end our drought concerns.Tonight: Rain. Low of 60.Monday: Impact Day. Morning rain then afternoon clouds. High of 69. Winds gust to 25 mph.Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with late day showers. High of 68 and low of 50. Winds gust to 30 mph.
