VILLAGE THAT’S ON MARKET STREET IN HARRISBURG AND A NEW PLAYGROUND BASED ON A BOARD GAME OPENS TODAY IN HARRISBURG. WE’RE TALKING ABOUT THE CHUTES AND LADDERS PLAYGROUND IN RESERVOIR PARK. THE CITY SAYS IT LOOKS JUST LIKE IT SOUNDS HERE. WE’RE SHOWING IT TO YOU. SO YOU DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. THERE ARE DOZENS OF SLIDES AND EQUIPMENT TO CLIMB ON STATE AND FEDERAL GRANTS PAID FOR THE MORE THAN $1 MILLION PLAYGROUND. IT DID TAKE TWO YEARS TO DESIGN AND BUILD. SO I’M SURE A LOT OF KIDS AND MAYBE EVEN SOME ADULTS ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING ON THAT TODAY. THE PARK OPENS AT 11:00 THIS MORNING. IT’LL HAVE A KIC

A new playground based on the popular board game "Chutes and Ladders" is opening in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The city says the playground looks just like the game, with dozens of slides and equipment to climb."Our parks are the cornerstone of our community," Harrisburg Mayor Wanda R.D. Williams said in a statement. "This (is) where families come together, laugh, and share memories. Thirty years from now, the children here today will tell their children about the time their parents took them to the famous Chutes and Ladders Playground."The playground, which took two years to design and build, cost a little more than $1 million. A new playground based on the popular board game "Chutes and Ladders" is opening in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The city says the playground looks just like the game, with dozens of slides and equipment to climb.
