THIS ATRIA IS LOCATION IN OHARA TOWNSHIP HAS BEEN HERE FOR JUST SHY OF 20 YEARS. THEY ACTUALLY KEEP A PHOTO ALBUM ON HAND WITH MEMORIES OF GUESTS EVENTS HERE AND THOSE WE SPOKE TO SAY THEY WILL HOLD THESE MEMORIES DEAR WHEN THIS RESTAURANT CLOSES IN JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS. THERE WE GO. OH, YEAH. DUQUESNE TIME. THE CAMARADERIE. WE JUST THE HOSPITALITY. IT’S JUST BEEN FANTASTIC. AND THE MEMORIES WE HAD ALL KIND OF PARTIES, HOSPITAL PARTIES, BRIDAL SHOWERS FILLED, ATRIA’S DINING ROOM. WE WERE HERE SUNDAY. WE’RE HERE TODAY. WE’LL PROBABLY BE BACK FRIDAY AND DEC. I GOT THIS, BUT THE OTHER DAY I GOT CHICKEN PARMESAN. THE DINERS HERE MOSTLY ARE REGULARS, ATE AT THE ONE IN GIBSONIA AND IT CLOSED. AND WHEN IT CLOSED WE STARTED COMING HERE BECAUSE WE LOVED THE FOOD, WHO ARE NOW SAVORING THEIR LAST DAYS AT THIS ATRIA’S. IT’S TOO BAD. IT’S A SHAME. THIS IS HOME FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE. THE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS FOR ATRIA IS ED GASTONVILLE. HE SAYS THE DECISION TO CLOSE THIS SPOT WAS TOUGH, ESPECIALLY KNOWING MANY WHO COME HERE ARE FAMILIAR FACES WHO SPENT TWO DECADES HERE. A LOT OF LIFE EVENTS HAPPENED INTO THIS RESTAURANT AND WE WILL WE WILL SORELY MISS ALL OF OUR GREAT GUESTS THAT WE HAD IN OUR RESTAURANTS. BUT CASSTEVENS SAYS THIS ATRIA’S WILL CLOSE TO ALLOW THEM TO STRENGTHEN THEIR OTHER LOCATIONS. US I’M VERY UPSET. WE ALL ARE, HE SAYS. THEY HOPE THE LONGTIME CUSTOMERS. OH, MARLO, YOU’VE BEEN PICKING ON ME FOR TEN AND EMPLOYEES UNDERSTAND AND BRING THEIR MEMORIES WITH THEM. SO THIS OHARA TOWNSHIP HS LOCATION WILL REMAIN OPEN THROUGH SUNDAY. Atria's in O'Hara Township will serve its last meal on Sunday, June 25, just shy of the restaurant's 20-year anniversary.Atria's location closing, customers react: Watch the report in the video above."This is home for a lot of people," said Ed Kostovny, director of operations. "A lot of life events happened in this restaurant, and we will sorely miss a lot of our great guests we had in our restaurant."Kostovny said the decision to close the restaurant on Freeport Road was made in order to focus on the four other Atria's locations in the area — Pleasant Hills, Mt. Lebanon, Peters Township, Murrysville — and the National Aviary, where Atria's is now the exclusive caterer.The company also owns Juniper Grill restaurants.
