Goats take over Texas neighborhood while grazing at development
The residents of a neighborhood in McKinney, Texas, were completely unprepared for what they saw on their front lawns.
"Forty goats on my lawn," resident Garrett Piersall said.
Multiple house cameras caught the action late Saturday night and into early Sunday morning.
"They were coming down the road just really slowly, and just kind of chilled out right here," Mike Danielson, another resident, said while pointing to his front yard.
These 4o goats broke from a herd that was grazing at a nearby development. During the summer, goats are often tasked with eating vegetation during the fire season. But instead, these goats took a stroll through a neighborhood.
"I think they ate a little bit from everybody's yard all the way around the circle here. In fact, one of the guys just, just on two legs eating my tree. It was pretty wild," Piersall said. "It gets a little wild around here every now and then."
CNN was told that all of the goats have been found and returned to their original herd and normalcy has resumed in the McKinney neighborhood.
