The City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County and the 2016 Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins are advising Downtown workers and parade-goers to plan for delays and street closures Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning in preparation for the 11:30 a.m. Wednesday victory parade.The first street closures will occur at 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Stanwix Street between Fort Pitt Boulevard and Third Avenue, and the Boulevard of the Allies between Commonwealth Place and Wood Street.MORE: Stanley Cup Victory Parade detailsWednesday morning at 9 a.m. the City will begin closing the Boulevard of the Allies between Wood and Grant streets, and Grant Street from the Boulevard of the Allies to Liberty Avenue.The parade is expected to last from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a celebration at Stanwix Street and the Boulevard of the Allies.Streets will begin to reopen as early as 2 p.m.Commuters should note that nearly all Port Authority bus routes will be detoured on Wednesday due to the parade.Six routes – 20 Kennedy, 21 Coraopolis, 22 McCoy, 24 West Park, 36 Banksville, 38 Green Tree -- will be on detour from the start of service Wednesday.
