The Pine-Richland Rams are state football champions after defeating the Imhotep Charter Panthers 28-14 in the PIAA Class 5A title game Friday night.It's the third state championship in six years for Pine-Richland (13-3).The Rams claimed the title in their first year under head coach Jon LeDonne, who previously won with Penn Hills in 2018.The state championship comes after the Rams secured their sixth WPIAL title last month over Upper St. Clair.The Panthers (10-3) were making their seventh appearance in the state finals.Five teams from western Pennsylvania are playing in the PIAA championship games at Cumberland Valley High School.
