The Aliquippa Quips are WPIAL champions for the second year in a row after defeating Central Valley 34-7 in the Class 4A title game Friday night at Acrisure Stadium.It's the 19th championship for Aliquippa, most in WPIAL history, and the third in five years under head coach Mike Warfield.After repeating as WPIAL champions, Aliquippa (12-0) will look to bring home another state championship as well. They won the PIAA title in 2021.The Warriors (11-2) were denied in their bid for a fourth consecutive WPIAL title. Central Valley was the Class 3A champion from 2019 to 2021, before moving up to Class 4A this year.
